Recent Projects
The summer of 2010 has been a busy one and included some interesting and diverse projects.
May found us at the London International Wine Fair for the 9th consecutive year with our regular stands for both McGuigan Wines and Bottle Green.
This year the McGuigan brief called for the inclusion of an ‘experiential’ space that could accommodate groups of up to 12 for private meetings or ‘al-fresco’ lunches.
We delivered with a giant rustic table and long benches, which might easily have come from a winery shed, which we enclosed with louvred screens that could be adjusted to the varying levels of privacy required. The result was an 'outdoor space' that was cool and airy and allowed McGuigan’s signature vines to be enjoyed from both inside and out.
In June we marked our 16th year as exclusive UK exhibition supplier to Mazak by designing and building their stand at MACH 2010.
Reflecting Mazak’s status as a world leader in the machine tool industry the 480sq.m stand was once again one of the largest at the show and featured 7 fully operational machines, serviced hospitality for 40 visitors at a time and a McLaren F1 car.
Hot on the heels of MACH we designed, delivered & installed an outdoor stand for McGuigan Wines at Taste of Dublin in the idyllically leafy surrounds of the Iveagh Gardens.
The show closed in torrential rain at 10.30pm on a Sunday night but by midday the following Tuesday the same stand was spotlessly clean and ready to open at the Taste of London in Regents Park complete with the live vines.
A pretty impressive turnaround in less than 38 hours we think, especially considering the Dublin weather and the constant threat to logistics posed by the notorious ‘ash cloud’!
In September we completed the renovation of a suite of offices on the south bank of the Thames for Australian Vintage who had outgrown the London offices we renovated for them in 2007.
Now with a front office, European General Manager’s office, boardroom, ‘state of the art’ Tasting Room (complete with flushing spittoon), a fully equipped kitchen, two stores and two cloakrooms they should be comfortable for another 3 years!
January 2010
January already brings two more milestones in the TDS story, underscoring our longevity and the satisfaction of our clients.
Our 21st consecutive London International Boat Show
Over the years we have designed and built numerous stands at this prestigious show for Beta Marine, Simrad, VDO Instruments and Yamaha Motor (UK) Ltd. (To see examples of some of these stands, visit our Portfolio.)
